Iceland pop experimentalists Múm were formed by Gunnar Örn Tynes, Örvar Þóreyjarson Smárason, and classically trained twin sisters Gyða and Kristín Anna Valtýsdóttir. Formed in 1997, the group met while working on a children's play. Smárason found his perception of music changed through hearing Aphex Twin and decided that he would abandon the guitar-based concepts of his prior bands. This was fine and dandy with his bandmates. Following a number of singles and remixes, the full-length Yesterday Was Dramatic -- Today Is OK was released in 2000 through TMT/Thule in Iceland and Tugboat in the U.K. Each of the band's four members was in their late teens when the record was released, hailed for its playful and imaginative use of all things musical and not so musical. A man of many guises, the tireless producer and remixer deconstructs techno as Uusitalo, explores experimental sound design as Vladislav Delay, and has plans to blunt hip hop with an as yet unnamed future project. Always hungry for new experiences, this time around Delay delves headfirst into what he describes as a fruitful love/hate relationship with his surroundings.

VLADISLAV DELAY is the most exciting new artist in the scandinavian electronic scene since PAN SONIC. After his releases on labels like SIGMA, MAX ERNST and CHAIN REACTION 'ENTAIN.' is his first album on MILLE PLATEAUX. 'ENTAIN' delivers two tracks from his debut album 'ele' on SIGMA plus two brand new tracks. The album goes towards and beyond design, the audiovisual dreams and lifestyle accessoires. Like some others artists on MILLE PLATEAUX DELAY is working with the most unessentialist sounds ever, clicks and glitches, fragmented cuts, but is giving the music such an unexpected and fascinating flow, which hasn't been heard in electronic music for years.
