hab den Film leider noch nicht gesehen. Die Kritik von Deutschlandradio Kultur fiel eher mäßig aus:

"Das von dem Brasilianer José Padilha inszenierte Remake übernimmt diese Story, ohne sie zu aktualisieren, ohne weitere Bezüge zur unserer Gegenwart herzustellen. Soziale Medien? Genforschung? NSA? Dieser Film hält sich bedeckt und konzentriert sich dafür auf seine solide inszenierten Verfolgungs- und Actionsequenzen." Weiter

René fand den Film furchtbar, Hoffnung weckte noch mal die Berliner Zeitung:

"José Padilhas „RoboCop“ ist nicht nur das brillante Remake eines bemerkenswerten Vorbilds, sondern auch ein eindrucksvoller Science-Fiction-Film, der Schauwerte mit prägnanter gesellschaftlicher Positionierung verbindet." Weiter

Bei Metacritic erhielt der neue Robocop magere 53%.
