bbc.co.uk: "It’s been a while since we’ve heard from Chris Cunningham, the video visionary whose technologically astounding Satanic visions of the modern world get you below the skin like a virus. “Probably one of the reasons I don’t work in the mainstream anymore is that I’m only interested in making the stuff I want to make,” he reflects. “Since I don’t make much money and I’m working on the margins, I’m not going to compromise the work." Rubber Johnny is the latest DVD from the king of warped music videos, Chris Cunningham. The central short film is six minutes long and chronicles a 16-year-old, inbred mutant's solitary existence, locked in a pitch-black basement by his ashamed parents. It was shot entirely on DV in infrared, and features a soundtrack from Aphex Twin.
Chris Cunningham's career as a music video director began in 1995 when, aged twenty-five and passionate about music, Chris met and persuaded Autechre to let him direct a promo for a track entitled "Second Bad Vilbel." Following on from this video, Chris was soon working with a range of artists during the early days of his career, waiting for that all-important track that would allow him the opportunity to create the images for the music that truly excited him.
In August 1997 Chris realised a long-term desire to collaborate with Richard James (the Aphex Twin) and directed the video for the single "Come to Daddy" through the production company RSA / Black Dog Films who he had recently joined. Not only did this video change the face of music videos, it catapulted his name into the public. Needless to say the video has since won a plethora of awards and accolades including the MCM grand prix du jury 1997. Read more

With deluxe packaging and menus by The Designers Republic, the DVD comes with a bonus audio CD featuring a one-hour super-evolved warpmix, edited and sequenced by Buddy Peace & 'ZILLA'." More info

Via backlink I found the nice weblog G3RM . By going through the content, I found a link to an interview with Alex Rutterford from 2002. I myself am a big fan of the "Gantz Graf" video and the cover artwork of "draft 7.30" he did for autechre.
By googeling for Alex Rutterford I realised that there is actually very little information availible about him. My own post on my weblog from May 2003 appears as #3 when you are looking for "alex rutterford" at google.
