Dort entspinnt sich ein Gespräch, an dessen Ende der Vater über den Sohn das Urteil, nämlich Tod durch Ertrinken, spricht. Was danach passiert, ist sprichwörtlich "kafkaesk"!
Das Hörbuch wird von Rainer Maria Ehrhardt gesprochen - seine Stimme ist aus TV-Reportagen und Werbespots bekannt, unter anderem ZDF, SAT1 und arte.
Iron and Wine is the stage name for one Samuel Beam, a Florida native that made his name by releasing lo fi tapes in Miami. Bardo Pond was the flagship band of Philly's "Psychedelphia" space rock movement, which also included the likes of Aspera, Asteroid No. 4, the Azusa Plane, and tangentially the Lilys. Explicitly drug-inspired -- their titles were filled with obscure references to psychedelics -- they favored lengthy, deliberate sound explorations filled with all the hallmarks of modern-day space rock: droning guitars, thick distortion, feedback, reverb, and washes of white noise. At this institution he flourished into an equally over-achieving ‘Ud and Cello player. Music wasn’t his only mode of expression. Along with his music, Kinan was immersed into the world of visual arts.

The Roots are an influential Philadelphia-based alternative hip hop crew, known for uplifting lyrics and live instrumentation. Originally composed of Black Thought (rapper) and ?uestlove (drummer), The Roots soon added Malik B. Moving (rapper) and Hub (bassist) and earned themselves a respectable fanbase in Philadelphia. Their debut album, Organix, was released on Remedy Records. With significant hype, The Roots soon signed to DGC and released their major label debut, Do You Want More?!!!??! in 1995 (see 1995 in music).
Do You Want More?!!!??! included no samples and was recorded live; sales were slim among mainstream audiences, though it was very popular among devoted hip hop fans and some alternative rock audiences. Preceded by the moderate hit "Clones", 1996's Illadelph Halflife (1996, 1996 in music) included some samples but still did not sell well.
In 1999 (see 1999 in music) The Roots' Things Fall Apart (named after Things Fall Apart, a novel by Chinua Achebe) was a breakthrough commercial and critical success which made it on many best-of lists for the year. Though The Roots' were no superstars, they vastly expanded their fanbase, leading to high hopes for their follow-up, the long-awaited Phrenology, released in 2002 (see 2002 in music), which was similarly acclaimed, though sold somewhat less than Things Fall Apart. "This piece is the result of my reflections on Mark Rothko's paintings currently on display in the Tate Modern. The display is set in a darkened room within the Tate, producing an intense and intimate experience.
I visited the Tate in March with a binaural microphone and a minidisc recorder, and sat contemplating the paintings. I tried to capture the experience and the environment by recording the sounds around me. The recordings were then processed (twisted, warped, granularised) to encode my own ideas about the paintings and the experience as a whole."
