One month ago, on April 2nd, EMI, one of the four major record companies, announced that the entire catalog of its digital music will be available DRM-free from the Apple iTunes Store. So, has this been a wise decision for EMI?
Since the beginning of 2007, the value of EMI shares dropped by 14%. After April 2nd, when DRM was abandoned, the value incraesed by 2,5%.

One month is to short for a conclusion, but those numbers hint to a success for EMI's strategy and DRM free MP3 files.
