Born in 1960 in San Nicolás, Buenos Aires, Mario Verandi studied music in Argentina, at Phonos Studios in Barcelona, and at the University of Birmingham where he was a member of BEAST (Birmingham Electro-Acoustic Sound Theater).
His awards include the Bourges International Electroacoustic Music Competition (France), Musica Nova Competition (Prague), CIEJ Electronic Music Awards, Prix Ars Electronica (Linz), and Stockholm Electronic Art Awards (Sweden)."
