Moonn was created at the begining of 2004 at doom-metal.com forums by Bartosz Frąckowiak (that means me - the main project member) and Małgorzata Góraj. At first it was supposed to be a joke and the project was named Moonn D))) after a drone/doom band known as Sunn O))). However after creating the first audio piece it became not just a joke but an audio project. It was called to be a tribute to Sunn O))), which was its main influence. Months passed and other pieces came. After more than a year the project renamed itself to Moonn, removing the silly and irritating "D)))" (have read lots of comments about this...). It may be still called a tribute to Sunn O))) if you like but Moonn tries to keep its own style."
