The Scar is the "follow up" of perdido Street Station, isn't it? During the last mont I couldn't read much, but I am eager to read the other books ... link

It's worth it! Especially "Iron Council". I can only recommend it, if you have liked "Perdido Street Station" (which I'm reading at the moment). The main point is that "The Scar" doesn't play in New Crobuzon, so the backdrop of the city is missing a bit, whilst the story itself is fast-paced and interesting. ... link

just recently read this book, after i discovered mieville's name in a list of socialist-science fiction, but i found it a little bit dissapointing. if I may suggest great science-fiction that really knocked me out recently, you should read charles stross' singularity sky and iron sunrise! ... link
