Max Dax and Robert Defcon recorded and compiled No Beauty Without Danger based on 43 authorized interviews. Much myth and media hype is revealed as such. At the same time, Einstürzende Neubauten allow deep insight into their working methods, sound research and the band's history -- all in their own words.
The books are hardcover, limited to 500 copies in each language, and will only be available on the 25th Anniversary Tour and through this website. More info here

In der November Ausgabe des "Sonic Seducer" sind 13 der schon legendären Hornbach Videos (mpeg Format) von Blixa Bargeld auf der beigefügten CD zu finden. Die Audio Tracks der CD schwanken zwischen harmlos und langweilig. Ach ja, die Band "Chamber", deren neue CD im Heft vorgestellt wird, hat quasi unplugged auf der After-Hochzeit Party eines Freundes von mir gespielt. War auch ganz nett.

The Melbourne based duo of Fox and Pateras have become quite renowned over the last couple of years via their strange, though entertaining improvisational electro acoustic performances, in which Fox utilises Pateras as his sound source, and in real time treats and manipulates him electronically. Utilising discarded piano frames, contact mics, undisclosed objects, and vintage synths that are then deconstructed/enhanced/disturbed via Fox’s computer processing, the resultant sounds are a strange often ill fitting mesh between the two worlds.More
Portable (aka Alan Abrahams) emerged out of the ruins of a post-apartheid era. He grew up in the impoverished Cape Town township, Bonteheuwel (Bounty Valley) aka "Beverly Hills".
As a teenager in the late eighties, he would spend time at makeshift shebeens (illegal bars) that doubled as clubs. At shebeens, DJs, despite apartheid sanctions, managed to find tunes like the Master C+J's "Dub Love", the Housemaster Boys' "Housenation"and Adonis' "No Way Back." The raw basement feel of these tracks would have an impact on the music Portable would later produce. More
